Artist Statement

Through raw mark-making, I enter into a dialogue with the work itself. This process requires surrender—working without knowing what will emerge. Gestures, marks, and forms arise, creating unknown territories that become perceptual terrains.

By staying present and responding to the work, new perspectives surface, shifting how we see ourselves and the world. In this openness, perception expands and new possibilities appear.

Viewers are invited to spend time with the work, experiencing these perceptual terrains as spaces to dwell in rather than images to interpret. With each encounter, relationships and perspectives evolve. Each painting becomes a moment of presence and renewed awareness within a shared space.

Déclaration d’artiste: 

À travers la matière brute du geste pictural, j’entre en dialogue avec l’œuvre elle-même. Ce processus demande un lâcher-prise — travailler sans savoir ce qui va émerger. Les gestes, les marques et les formes apparaissent, créant des territoires inconnus qui deviennent des terrains perceptifs.

En restant présente et en répondant à la peinture, de nouvelles perspectives émergent, transformant notre regard sur nous-mêmes et sur le monde, ou plutôt notre manière d'en faire l'expérience. Dans cet état d’ouverture, la perception s’élargit et de nouvelles possibilités apparaissent.

Le spectateur est invité à prendre le temps avec l’œuvre, à habiter ces terrains perceptifs comme des espaces à vivre plutôt qu’à interpréter. À chaque rencontre, les relations et les perceptions évoluent. Chaque peinture devient un moment de présence et d’attention renouvelée dans un espace partagé.
